Happy Trails To You, Until We Meet Again...

As MODOK rides off into the sunset, he thanks you all for making March MODOK Madness a hit. Thanks to everyone who contributed, I loved seeing all the varieties of MODOK you all came up with. Hope to do it all again, like, next March. Or, perhaps, a wee bit sooner.... Stay tuned.

Fishing With MODOK

We all enjoy a little downtime from scientific work and world domination planning. Fishing is a great way to unwind. However, think twice when you invite a mental organism, whom sits atop a ROCKET-powered mobility chair, aboard your WOODEN row boat. Silly bucket-headed, beekeeper, AIM guy.

Hey, catch a big one at March MODOK Madness. One more day to go.

The Bunk

Detective William "Bunk" Moreland from HBO's The Wire. Bunk is a cigar chomping homicide detective for the Baltimore Police Department and one of the best. He's real police doing real policework.

My friend's having a birthday party later today and she's a bit of a Wire junkie, so I'm gonna try and print one out for her. I told her I had an idea to draw the whole cast as animated characters and here's a pass at Bunk. I will probably draw him once again with a more streamlined "animated" style to it and then on to the rest of the cast. Keep your eyes peeled and please, keep the devil way down in the hole.

Grandmaz!

Ubisoft releases Grandmaz! as part of their Petz series. Once you choose your grandma (there are 5 breeds to choose from), you get to take care of her! Make sure she doesn't fall in the tub, force her meds down her throat, and keep her away from your car keys! Threaten her with the dreaded "Nursing Home" button! Hours of fun! Oh no! Grandma's scratching the curtains again and digging in the houseplants! Oh, Grandmaz! Will you never learn to be disciplined? Available for Nintendo DS, PS2, and PC. Rated E for everyone.

Hunk A Hunk A Burnin' MODOK

Yes, folks. Three Elvis MODOKs shooting cheeseburgers. No, don't thank my warped mind. Thank Warren Ellis and shame on you for not reading Nextwave: Agents of H.A.T.E.. Just be glad I did not add midgets in Iron Man bondage gear.

Less than a week left at March MODOK Madness.

MODOK in Love

I guess MODOK has a thing for Ms. Marvel. Actually, their first encounter didn't quite go down this way. Essentially, MODOK mentally took advantage of poor Carol. What a jerkface! But check out MODOK's studdly mental self! I guess he's been hitting the ol' gym!

Get Outta Here, Snakey!

Got it in just under the wire, Happy Saint Patrick's Day to you all! Here's a pic of Patrick himself booting a snake out of Ireland. Wonder where he wound up?

Faith and Begorrah, Me Boyo!

Happy St. Patrick's Day, one and all! Had to squeeze this puppy out during me lunch hour and wish I had longer to work on it. Anyway, MODOK finds he can't hold his own when drinking with Sean Cassidy, the screaming Irish mutant known as Banshee! MODOK may have mass on his side, but Banshee is Irish through and through! Hands down win for Banshee all the way.

Everbody's Irish today at March MODOK Madness! Sláinte!

Messed With My Notes

So, during a pretty craptastic Friday morning, I looked down at my notes I scrawled concerning prop duties for the new Speed Racer cartoon I've been working on, and what do I find? A certain Mr. Mr. had doodled on them the night before. It kind of made my day. It has dead sea life , portraits-as-aliens at a bar, and homosexual implications for fellow coworkers. In short, an impressive batch of doodles from the man. I think I've seen that surly, drunken alien before somewhere.

How Do You Take Your MODOK, Part Deux?

The vertical MODOK, also known as the "armchair MODOK".

I did a benday dot one for that old-time comic booky feel and added the sketch because I dig it. Please check out March MODOK Madness for other delicious MODOKs from my pals.

Princess Abigail

Hey, meet Princess Abigail, benevolent sovereign of the Vegetable Kingdom, and her trusted advisor, Broc, the enchanted broccoli! This piece was created for my brother-in-law's niece, to accompany the viking drawing for his nephew. I have to say that princesses are not really my forte, but I did some research on the Disney princesses, and took a lot of inspiration from there. After all these years, I still struggle with illustrating the finer sex, and beyond that, have yet to draw a "cheesecake" piece I dig. I still loves me the ladies, though.

How Do You Take Your MODOK?

The Horizontal MODOK, also known as the "Sofa MODOK".

Here's my first March post for March MODOK Madness. Most probably, all the posts I submit over there will be mirrored here, but please go visit the MODOK blog to see my comrades-in-arms' posts featuring the mental organism. I promise some good stuff. Really. Do it.
