In Like A MODOK, Out Like A Lamb...

Hey peoples,

Pedro and I are starting up March MODOK Madness again this year. I'll have a busy week coming up as I try to figure out what to do for it. I invite all who were part last year to join back in and post some sweet drawrings of the big headed dude, as well as invite new peeps who want in this year. Shoot me an email, or one to MODOK at the MMM blog. Trying to promote this thing more this year within the comic world, as it would be nice to get a little press, but not sure what to do. Ideas?

So please drop by the second annual celebration of March MODOK Madness starting March 1st and going all month long, I guarantee some great artwork from great talent. And all my crap, too.

Kind Of Okay Comics #009

Had a meeting with Rex Tarkleton and gave him this assignment, which comes from John Holt. John told me to make a piece that deals with an unemployment line and Dr. Zaius from Planet of The Apes. Being a true, red-blooded American, I outsourced it. Rex begrudgingly honored my request and cursed out John, but here you have it. Much thanks to both John and Rex.

Love Bot

He can't help himself. Love is in his programming. And the need to step on small cities, which is a lot like love. But not really.

Kind Of Okay Comics #008

Rex told me that goldfish were dirty, dirty fish, but I never knew they were so spiteful. Have we really gotten to Momma jokes at this point in the game?

Football Playing Type Guy

Watched a bit of the game last night and found it to be pretty solid, even for a guy who doesn't really follow the sports. Not being emotional invested in either team, I think I enjoyed it even more, rooting for the underdog, which seemed to switch around a bit in the last half. Oh, and Little Steven of the E Street Band is now and forever more Silvio Dante from the Sopranos to me, so it was weird to see him tooling around with a guitar during half-time. Whattayagonnado?

Kind Of Okay Comics #007

Rex Tarkleton came by earlier today and brought his new squeeze, Rhonda, with him. She was very pleasant up until the lovers' spat and then did some slight damage while swinging around her wooden leg in the brouhaha. Rex is still recovering and we managed to confiscate her false gam, which left her literally hopping mad. I hope they manage to work things out. In the meantime, Rex managed to squeeze this one out.
