Thor AC/DC Mash-Up: High Voltage

For this week's The Line It Is Drawn, the broad topic was:

A follower on Twitter suggested Thor on AC/DC's High Voltage.  With the new job(s), it's getting harder to fulfill this weekly task with any sort of high quality, but this was a fun one regardless of the output.  I just have to rearrange my weekend to make sure I have enough time to do these.

As always, check out what the talented folks over The Line It Is Drawn came up with.

See you next week.

Reign Of The Rorschachs

For this week's The Line It Is Drawn, the broad topic was:

A follower on Twitter suggested “Reign of the Rorshachs” (Rorschach of Steel, Rorshach of Tomorrow, Kid Rorshach, Last son of New York).  If you don't get the reference, 20 years ago (jeez, has it been that long?) DC Comics killed off Superman and four "supermen" took over his titles (The Eradicator, Cyborg Superman, Steel, and Superboy) in order to keep the buzz going and increase sales.  There you have it.

A big welcome to 10 new ongoing artists this week, who were all vying for the one alternate position.  They all did some amazing work during the try-outs and all were too good to be cut!  It will make me step up my game, for sure (if time allows it!)

See you next week.

CBLDF's Lady Liberty Done In The Style Of Rob Liefeld

For this week's The Line It Is Drawn, the broad topic was:

A follower on Twitter suggested Lady Liberty Rob Liefeld style.  I have to admit, I kind of couldn't resist.  Though, after seeing it next to all the other great pieces, I feel like I did the CBLDF an injustice by submitting such a mockery, especially in context with all those awesome works.

See you next week.

Aztek The Ultimate Man Issue 100

For this week's The Line It Is Drawn, the broad topic was:

A follower on Twitter suggested Aztek The Ultimate Man.  I really liked the title when it came out in the mid-nineties, as it seemed to poke fun at the nitty-gritty nineties.  Aztek was a jointly written by Grant Morrison and Mark Millar, pencils by N. Steven Harris and was cancelled after only 10 issues.  Morrison used Aztek in his JLA run, before ultimately crippling and killing him in the early 2000s.  I always wondered where the title and character might have gone had it kept going.

See you next week.
