Good Grief, Kite Man

From The Line It Is Drawn, Week 362:
Next week is New York Comic Con! Lots of attendees will be dressed in costumes. The theme for the next Line is to draw superheroes attending a comic con in cosplay…of other superheroes! Harley Quinn dressed as Sailor Moon, Deadpool as Batman, you get the idea…
Twitter follower, BigMike20X6 , suggested: Charlie Brown from Peanuts as Kiteman.

Studying with the master!

GL Sunbathing

From The Line It Is Drawn, Week 360:
Celebrate the Defenders by putting the four members of the Defenders into different situations. They can be fantastical (like the Defenders in the Lord of the Rings trilogy) or mundane (the Defenders at the DMV), whatever you think would be the most interesting to see our artists draw!
I went with Hal Jordan of the Green Lantern Corp.  He's sunbathing.  At the sun.  Hope you and the Mrs. enjoyed the cruise, Brian, and welcome back.

Greg, The Scorpittarius

One of the kiddos at Bacon Free Library's Comic Group came up with the idea of a Scorpittarius, the astrological symbol for those on the cusp in November!  I assigned the project of a 6-panel comic about the creature from a few of them and here's my version.

Inktober 2017: Day 01

It's Inktober again and I've decided I need to be working on my brushwork.  I am hoping that if I keep with it this year, I will be in a more comfortable spot with my inking.

Meet Mr. Mage, my version of the comic book magical type...

More to come.

Garfield Logan

From The Line It Is Drawn, Week 359:
Superhero mash-ups!! Mash two superhero (or supervillain) names together, like Batman-Thing or Banshee-Hulk or whatever (feel free to steal those!) and our artists will draw what they look like!
Twitter follower, BigMike20X6 , suggested: Garfield Logan

Hump Day, Trump Day: Week 39

Puerto Rico is an island, like, in the middle of the ocean.  Also, the NFL is part of the axis of evil.

Heavenly Henson

A friend of mine requested a drawing of Jim Henson in heaven.  I obliged with a quick sketch.  Then, all coincidentally like, it was Jim Henson's birthday two days later.  Happy birthday, Jim Henson.

Snake Clowns!

From The Line It Is Drawn, Week 358:
As you may or may not know, It appears to people as their greatest fear (lots of people are afraid of clowns). So suggest a comic book character and what It would appear like to them and our artists will draw it!
Twitter follower dansjostrom suggested: Lego Batman, snake clowns.
